European Young Professionals - The AACP Octoberfest
Sponsored by Ayudhya Allianz C.P. (AACP)
at The British Club
Thursday 19th October 2006
TThe British Club hosted Thailand's most spectacular Oktoberfest last Thursday which drew a crowd of over 320 partygoers.
The event, sponsored by Ayudhya Allianz C.P. (AACP) and organised by two of the most popular networking groups in Bangkok , European Young Professionals (EYP) and the German Open Young Professionals (GOYP) featured a number of activities that got the crowd going.
With an Oompah Band all the way from Bavaria and Folk-Dancing from Fuerstenfeldenbruck, the attendees soon got into the rhythm of things. And Paulaner with its imported Oktoberfest Beer did a good job in bringing on the real Oktoberfest experience for Bangkok. Atinuch Viranuvat, a regular at the event and runner-up in the beer-holding competition, said 'The AACP Oktoberfest is by far the best one I have ever been to. The British Club really did a great job at giving an authentic German feel to the place and the food and special Oktoberfest beer were fantastic.'
Ulli Wrieden, one of the German organisers, said the event went better than he expected but added, somewhat controversially, that the British team's performance at the Folk Dancing competition was worse than England's at this year's World Cup.
The Young Professionals bandwagon rolls on : Next month's EYP event will be at Ocean Portofino near Jom tien. The European Young Professionals is a none profit organisation and event details can be found at www.europeanyoungprofessionals.org For more information about the German Open and their next event see www.GOYP.de
