European Young Professionals ('EYP')

For all of us at EYP, the protection of personal data is of paramount importance. When you entrust your personal data to us, we go to great lengths to ensure that personal data is held securely and used only for the purposes which you have agreed to. We have also explained in this Privacy Policy the things which we think are important for you to know about the personal data we collect from you, the purposes for which we use the information and how we protect your data. We also mention some of the rights you have in relation to your personal data. Finally, there's a bit about cookies - what they are and how to get rid of them if you don't want them. What personal information we collect.
We do not collect your personal information where you simply browse our website. When you complete the application form as part of the registration process we ask for your name, email address, mobile telephone number, birth date, gender and nationality, job title and the name of your company. We may also collect some or all of this information when you provide us with your business card or complete a prize draw entry form at one of the events we host. We may also store details of communications between you and us, including any customer feedback.

What we use your personal data for.
We only use your personal data for the following purposes:
· To provide our services to you and to administer membership records, including contacting you by email or text message in relation to the services which we offer, forthcoming events or your membership.
· In connection with the advertising and marketing of our business and the services we provide.
· As part of the advertising, marketing and public relations which we do for other organisations.
· In relation to publications by us which we make available to the public.
· To improve our services by getting a better understanding of our membership, which, as our name suggests, is truly international.
· To process a transaction between us, including making reservations.
· as part of our collection of customer feedback.

Many of the events we run are to celebrate the culture and national identity of our members and it is for this reason that we ask you about your nationality. You do not have to provide us with this information but if you do so, we will treat this information with particular care because it is sensitive information and we will not do anything in relation to this information without your express consent beforehand. Who we can disclose your personal data to
We will not disclose your personal information to anyone save for the following exceptions.
· We will disclose your personal data to law enforcement agencies or regulatory bodies if we are required to do so by law.
· We will disclose your personal data to clubs, organisations and venues where it is necessary for us to do so in order to provide you with the services. For example, your attendance at an EYP event may require us to provide your name to the venue where they operate a guest list.
· We may disclose your personal details if EYP is acquired or is merged with another company but we will endeavour notify you beforehand if this happens.
· We may provide you with the facility to make available some of your personal details (including your name, sex, age, job title and nationality) as part of a public profile which may be accessed by other EYP members and Internet search engines.

If you choose to use this facility, you will be able to determine what personal information is accessible through your public profile. If at any time we wish to disclose your personal data in circumstances other than those above, we will always obtain your consent before doing so. We store your personal details on our servers in the United Kingdom and save as provided below, we will not be exporting your data outside the European Union.

Your rights in relation to your personal data
You can request to see your personal data which we hold, subject to the payment of a nominal fee to cover the administration required. If you believe that any personal data we hold is incorrect then you can request that we amend the personal data. You can also request that we delete some or all of your personal data which we will do on your request save where we are required by law to keep records.

Our safekeeping of your data
We will periodically evaluate your personal data which we hold to determine whether we should continue to hold it. We have implemented all appropriate technical, organisational and security procedures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access or from accidental loss or corruption. Please note that our storage of your personal data is incidental to our provision of our services to you and does not absolve you of your responsibility to back up your important information. We use reputable software developers based in India for the development and maintenance of the Website and their work does require them to have access to the database containing your personal data which we closely monitor and control. With this exception, we will not be exporting your data outside the European Union and will only be storing the information supplied by you together with details of the activities you have undertaken with us and mailings we have sent to you on your data file.

How to unsubscribe
If you do not wish to receive mailings from us or if you wish to de-register your mobile then you can unsubscribe at any time by sending an email to info@europeanyoungprofessionals.org with the details of your email address, mobile telephone number and other contact details. We will use these details to remove you from our database. If you wish to see the data stored about you in EYP, please email info@europeanyoungprofessionals.org and we will send you all of the relevant data.

Revisions to this Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes we will place a notice on our website and such changes will be posted on this page in order that you are always aware of the information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.

By being a member of EYP you have must have given your consent to our collection and use of your personal data for the purposes set out above. This you accept when signing up as a member in a tick box.
